How to Join an Affinity Community

AASLH’s Affinity Communities are places where members and nonmembers can connect with others who share similar job issues and interests. These groups have moderated membership, but are open to all. Activities include meal functions at AASLH Annual Meetings, workshops and other training opportunities, e-newsletters, and more.

To join an affinity community:

1. Log in to your account or create a new one. Both activities can be done by following the prompts on the green home page square.

2. Go to “Manage Profile” by clicking the link on the green homepage square.

3. Under “Information and Settings” click “Edit Bio.”

4. Scroll down to “Additional Information” and you will see the option to check which Affinity Community you would like to join.

Please note that each Affinity Community has different ways they prefer to connect and communicate. Please make sure to also visit their home pages (see below) to make sure you are plugged into their networks.
